Bush Kinder Experience

learn through play

Drop-off bush kinder sessions (2.5 hours or 5 hours) for 3-5 year olds. Sessions include exploration, sensory experiences, physical challenges, nature craft, bushwalking and lots of time for unstructured play. We will also include simple bushcraft activities such as cubby building, flora and fauna identification and lots of songs and stories. Each session will have a learning focus, guided by the interests of the participants.

Sessions are run by Zara and Caleigh. All our kinder teachers are registered with VIT and are fabulous humans with a passion for providing authentic and fun nature-based learning experiences to their students that encourage them to develop curiosity, resilience and empathy. They all hold a current first aid certificate and WWC check.

Children need to come prepared with warm, waterproof clothing and snacks/drinks that they can carry themselves. Parents are encouraged to drop their children off, but we can work up to this if your child needs extra support.

These sessions are for children aged 3 - 5 years old.

These sessions are in addition to any formal kinder sessions your child might be doing and are not subsidised in any form. We look forward to playing and learning with you!

In Term 2, we are offering short days (9:30-12:00) of bush kinder on Mondays and Wednesdays and an additional long session (9:30-2:30) on Wednesdays. We are also providing the option to book in for the whole year, which will help us plan better for your children.

The price for our Monday group in Term 2 will be $350 (10 weeks). Our Wednesday group will cost $385 (short day) or $715 (long day) for 11 weeks. Monday and Wednesday sessions will be held at Egan Reserve in Thornbury. The term will run from Monday 15th April until Wednesday 26th June (inclusive).
