Play Therapy in Nature

Are you looking for a unique and effective way to support your child's emotional growth and confidence?

At Nature Play Learning, we blend the proven principles of Play Therapy with the restorative power of the natural world. Our program is specially designed for children aged 4–6 who may be navigating big feelings, challenging transitions, or early social skills development.

The Power of the Small Group (A Maximum of 4 Children)

We intentionally limit our group size to just four children per session. This small, consistent group provides a crucial therapeutic advantage:

  1. Focused Attention: Your child receives personalized support from our Clinical Director (a certified Play Therapist), ensuring tailored interventions for their specific needs.

  2. Safe Social Practice: The intimate setting creates a safe, low-pressure environment for practicing essential social skills like sharing, communication, and conflict resolution before moving to larger settings.

  3. Deeper Connection: It fosters a strong sense of belonging and predictability, which is vital for building trust and emotional security in young children.

Led by Experts in Therapeutic Play

Your child's sessions are guided by our Clinical Director (a qualified Play Therapist), ensuring that every game, every mud puddle, and every tree climb is not just fun, but a purposeful, therapeutic intervention. We utilise the environment as a co-therapist, helping your child strengthen their:

  • Self-Regulation: Using movement and sensory work (heavy lifting, digging, climbing) to calm the nervous system.

  • Emotional Literacy: Learning to name and express big feelings using nature as a tangible metaphor.

  • Confidence: Building self-worth through the mastery of real-world, natural challenges.

Give your child the gift of growing strong roots in a supportive, natural environment. We invite you to learn more about our small-group therapeutic sessions.

Sessions will run on Mondays 1000-1200 over the school term, beginning Term 1, 2026.
